Bob brings with him a veritable truckload of Canon equipment for you to explore.

OK, maybe not an actual truckload—but there will be a lot of gear.

Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to handle and try a variety of Canon cameras, lenses, flashes, and accessories. Put a different lens on your own camera. Compare one camera body with another. Experiment with equipment you've been curious about but haven't had the opportunity to use.

Try It for Yourself

The Sandbox is an extension of the classroom.

As we discuss autofocus, subject detection, tracking, camera controls, flash, and other features, you'll see how those technologies work on different Canon cameras and equipment.

This can be especially valuable if you're using an earlier Canon mirrorless camera. Some of Canon's newest features are only available on more recent models, and the Sandbox gives you an opportunity to experience those advancements firsthand and compare them with the camera you currently use.

Likewise, if you've wondered what a particular lens might add to your photography, this is your chance to mount one on a camera and see for yourself.

No Sales Pitch

Canon Advanced User is first and foremost an educational event. The equipment in the Sandbox is there so you can experiment, learn, compare, and better understand the tools available to photographers.
