This is the 7th year that I'll be hosting The Digital Revolution at the SMU Plano campus.  You'll find that this is going to be the best Revolution ever.

I've got great vendors and presenters this year and the topics covered are important and timely.  Beginner or advanced, you'll find many pearls of wisdom while you learn new skills that will help you improve your photography.

What Topics Are Covered?
  • In Pursuit of Excellence - Internationally acclaimed Master Photographer John Murray will share the artistic and technical know-how needed to create award winning prints.  John teaches at National Geographic conventions and seminars and is the recipient of over 75 National Merit Awards and 15 International Loan print awards.  Let John help you raise the bar on your image quality.

  • Getting The Results You Expect - Getting great quality prints from your lab requires attention to details and an understanding on how professional labs work.  Jim Giunta of Pounds Professional Photographic Lab will share with you the secrets of getting outstanding results from your lab

  • Tips & Tricks for Adobe Photoshop - Learn the latest tips and tricks for working with Adobe Photoshop CS3 and the latest Photoshop Elements 6.

  • The Nuts, Bolts - And Polished Glass - of Digital Camera Equipment - Join in the Hardware Roundtable and learn about the latest technology from all the major camera manufacturers.  You can get your hands on some of this technology too.

  • Alt-Ctrl-Delete - Learn to avoid the frustration of a computer system that can't keep up with your image processing needs.  The Geek Squad, a leader in computer technical support, will help you understand how to best configure your dream system - or just optimize the system you currently have.

  • TTL Dedicated Flash - Learn about using flash with your digital camera.  If you’ve tried to use a dedicated flash on your camera you’ll know that consistent quality results can be quite fleeting.  Learn about what your camera is really doing when you attach a flash.  It’s quite enlightening.

  • #$@#%$& Color - Figure out the buzz about Color Management and learn how go tune your system to deliver the most accurate color available.

  • Cradle to Grave and Everything In-between - Unravel the tangle of programs available and design the best workflow for you.  We discuss Photoshop CS3, Photoshop Lightroom, Bridge, DAM programs like Expressions Media, Cumulus and Portfolio.

  • Ask The Experts - Customize the program to fit your needs with "Ask The Experts".  Register a question prior to the event to ensure that we cover exactly what you want to learn.

  • Hands-on  Digital Toys - Of course, there will be vendor displays.  We serve lunch – giving you an opportunity to meet with the industry experts or other students.

  • Chocolate - Of course I’ll still have the chocolate available.

  • Free Lunch - We serve you a free lunch to ensure that you have the time necessary to visit with the speakers, vendors and other attendees.  Sometimes some of the best ideas are sown in conversations with other photographers. Don't miss this opportunity.
  • Free Stuff - Yes, our sponsors have generously donated lots of free door prize items.  But you have to be there to win.
NEW!  Ask the Experts

Customize The Digital Revolution to meet your needs by submitting questions prior to the event.  We'll do our best to make sure that all your questions are answered before you leave.
